Planning has commenced to turn local streetside AUSGRID power poles into charging stations for electric vehicles, under an Australian-first trial. Intellihub is rolling out this project in several suburbs including Manly with chargers supplied by Schneider Electric. Twelve EV chargers are expected to be installed on the Northern Beaches with Council consulting the community on the locations for 12 proposed chargers.

Three charging poles are proposed for Manly in Ashburner St, Gilbert St and West Promenade with the parking restrictions changed to permit only vehicles being charged between 8am and 10pm.

If you have any thoughts on these locations and the impact of the changes to the parking restrictions please email us at secretary@manlycommunityforum.com
